Ukip has won a full house in Gooshays - the ward where the party had its first councillor in Havering as well as in London.

Havering’s Ukip leader Cllr Lawrence Webb was elected there in 2012 and has just been awarded with two allies in the ward.

Cllr Webb, who got 1,790 votes, will be joined by David Johnson and Patricia Rumble, who got 1,848 and 1,733 votes respectively.

The party leader said: “We are making a clear progression. There are a lot of people doing a lot of hard work.”

He added there had been “one or two” dissappointments, but “nothing to be ashamed of.”
