Changes to a countryhouse pub have been among planning applications received by the council last week, so we have rounded-up the most notable.

From a proposal to put up fresh signage at the Thatched House in Upminster, to plans to replace a building destroyed by fire in Rainham, we have a range of planning applications for you to peruse.

Take a look below at our selection.

In Emerson Park ward the demolition of a home to make way for six-bed dwelling with a loft was proposed.

The application, P0069.24, was made and supported by developer Breden Limited.

Gooshays ward in Romford also had an application, P0078.24, to reposition and rebuild a Sunday school and hall.

The proposal was made for the St Thomas Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church on 2a Taunton Road.

The application, P0034.24, was validated by Havering Council on January 18 in 2024 and a decision will be made by March 14.

Marshalls and Rise Park ward also had an application, P0084.24, to demolish a bungalow and garage and create a two-storey home with landscaping.

This would be at 124 Beauly Way in Romford.

In Rainham and Wennington ward an application, P1901.23, has been made to replace an unit destroyed by fire.

The unit was previously used for commercial purposes and if rebuilt would continue in the same class.

This is for Unit 6 in Deans Factory Estate on Lambs Lane in Rainham.

Upminster ward has also had an application, A0004.24, to put up 13 fresh signs on Thatched House on St Marys Lane.

Thatched House, a countryhouse pub, currently has the application undecided.

Rainham and Wennington ward has also had a two-storey, three-bed chalet proposed which would include parking.

This is in the land to the side of 306 Wennington Road in an application supported by Spaces Architecture.
