The Baytree Shopping Centre's successful summer events

The Baytree Shopping Centre in Brentwood delivered four weeks of community events and crafts during the summer holidays as part of its Great Baytree Craft Along.

Children took part in themed sessions featuring unicorns, superheroes, dinosaurs and building activities, leaving with colourful creations each week.

Maria Kyriacou-Edwards from The Baytree Shopping Centre said: "We’ve loved seeing so many families getting involved with our summer activities.

"Each week brought something completely different, and it was wonderful to see children getting creative and enjoying themselves while parents could spend time together as a family. We’d also like to thank Active Essex and Saint Francis Hospice for joining us and helping make the programme even more special.

"Providing free activities that everyone can enjoy is important to us, and we’re delighted with how much fun everyone has had."

The events also featured contributions from local organisations including Find Your Active, Brentwood Essex, which led keyring making, hoopla, and football-themed games. Saint Francis Hospice also attended, offering activities such as Frankie the Lion colouring and a hamper raffle while raising awareness of the charity’s work.

Alongside the crafts, families enjoyed The Baytree Beach, a sand-filled attraction open daily from 10am to 4pm.

The seaside-themed spot, complete with buckets and spades, gave shoppers and children a taste of the coast without leaving the town centre.

The Baytree Shopping Centre is set to host its next Local Artisan Market on September 19, from 10am to 4pm.

Visitors will be able to browse a variety of stalls featuring handmade gifts, crafts, treats, and other unique finds. More information about upcoming events and activities is available at www.baytreeshoppingcentre.com.
