A collection of bespoke family homes is nearing completion in Brentwood.

The gated Vicarage Wood development, located at Frenches Farm on Wigley Bush Lane has been inspired by the traditional character of the area and neighbouring St Peter’s Church.

Developed by Journey Homes, the site features eight four-bedroom properties crafted with traditional materials and finished to a high standard.

Dr Bejan Roohi, founder and developer of Journey Homes, said: "From the outset, our vision for Vicarage Wood was to create homes that feel rooted in the village and designed around the wellbeing of modern families. Every detail, from the craftsmanship and traditional materials to the natural light and landscaping, has been carefully considered to create homes that people genuinely love living in.

"The response to the show home has been incredibly encouraging, with visitors recognising that these properties feel like real family homes rather than simply houses. We are delighted that the development is now nearing completion and proud of the relationships we have built within the local community along the way."

The properties combine classic architectural features with modern technologies and sustainability in mind. Solar panels, advanced insulation, and energy-efficient systems have been incorporated to ensure long-term environmental benefits.

Interiors have been designed by Leila Homes Interiors and include bespoke kitchens, spacious living areas, and luxurious wet rooms. Natural chimneys and ample daylight are also key features to promote wellbeing.

Outdoor spaces have been landscaped to include an orchard and wildlife-friendly planting, offering families the opportunity to enjoy fresh fruit and connect with nature.

Paul Beresford, CEO of Beresfords Group, said: "Vicarage Wood is a truly special development and one that reflects the quality and care that Journey Homes has invested throughout. The attention to detail, exceptional specification, and respect shown to the character of the village have all contributed to the fantastic reception the development has received.

"It has also been wonderful to see the strong connections forged with the local community, creating a welcoming environment for future resident, and we look forward to welcoming families to view the show home."

Vicarage Wood is positioned with easy access to country parks, equestrian facilities, and the Ofsted Outstanding St Peter’s Primary School.

Transport links are also strong, with the M25 and A12 just four minutes away and Brentwood station, served by mainline and Elizabeth line services, only eight minutes from the development.
