Oklahoma! coming to Hornchurch's Queen's Theatre in July

Havering Music Makers is bringing its latest production to the stage this summer.

Havering Music Makers will present Rodgers and Hammerstein’s classic Oklahoma! at the Queen’s Theatre in Hornchurch from July 16 to 18.

Featuring well-loved songs including Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin’, People Will Say We’re in Love, and The Surrey with the Fringe on Top, the show promises a lively and heartwarming experience for all ages.

Paula Harris Brett, chairman of Havering Music Makers, said: "Oklahoma! is one of the great classics of musical theatre and we’re thrilled to be bringing it to the Queen’s Theatre.

"Our talented cast and creative team have worked incredibly hard to create a production that captures the warmth and humour of this much-loved show. Whether a lifelong fan or discovering it for the first time, audiences are in for a fantastic experience."

Set in the Oklahoma Territory at the turn of the 20th century, the musical follows the story of cowboy Curly McLain and farm girl Laurey Williams.

Performances will take place at 7.30pm on July 16 and 17, with two shows at 1.30pm and 5.30pm on July 18. Tickets are priced between £21.70 and £25.70 and are available from queens-theatre.co.uk.
