A man has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car in Harold Wood.

The Metropolitan Police was alerted to reports of a crash involving a car and pedestrian on Station Road at 6.35am this morning (June 26). 

Officers were dispatched to the scene alongside London Ambulance Service colleagues, where a pedestrian was found injured. 

The man, aged in his 20s, was treated before being taken to hospital. 

He remains in hospital in an unknown condition. 

A road closure is in place on Gubbins Lane between Station road and Rosslyn Avenue. 

There have been no arrests at this stage and enquiries are ongoing.
