Dozens of motorists have been caught speeding in a recent enforcement operation.
Essex Police identified 45 offences across several locations in Brentwood and neighbouring villages during checks carried out on June 18.
Officers began their patrols in Coxtie Green Road after concerns were raised by residents about speeding near a school and church.
Twelve offences were recorded there, including a light goods vehicle travelling at 45mph in a 30mph zone.
Police then moved to Ongar Road, where 21 more speeding offences were identified. Of those, three drivers were caught at 46mph in the 30mph zone.

A spokesperson for Essex Police said: "Speed enforcement is a key part of our work to keep people safe on Essex roads. We focus on locations where concerns have been raised by residents, or where data shows a higher risk of collisions.
"By taking action and being visible in communities, we aim to deter dangerous driving, reduce the likelihood of serious incidents, and provide reassurance to the public.
"Speeding significantly increases the risk of a collision and the severity of injuries caused.
"Slower speeds help give drivers more time to react and make roads safer for everyone, especially in built-up areas, near schools, and in places used by pedestrians and families."
Additional checks in Ramsden Heath and Stock led to a further 12 offences being recorded.
The force said the activity forms part of Vision Zero, a shared ambition across the Safer Essex Roads Partnership to eliminate death and serious injury on Essex roads by 2040 or soon.
The approach combines enforcement and education to promote safer behaviours among all road users. Essex Police are encouraging the public to report areas of concern by contacting them directly.
