An events venue in Chadwell Heath has applied to extend its opening hours.

Mayfair Venue, at 1078-1082 High Road, hopes to host "live music, dance, concerts and all types of sports events" later in the evening one day a week.

The venue has applied to vary its premises licence so that these activities can take place between 8am and midnight on Thursdays.

Currently, its opening hours are listed on Google as between 11am and 6pm, seven days a week.

This proposed extension of operating hours closed for feedback on February 16.

Mayfair Venue used to be a cinema called The Embassy Cinema, which closed in 1966, later becoming a bingo hall before opening as an events space in 2015.
