A new cinema opening in Romford next month has submitted its premises licence.

Lumiere, run by the Romford Film Trust, has applied to project moving image and trade as a cinema between 10am and 11pm each day.

These licensable activities will be for the former Premiere Cinemas site in the Mercury Shopping Centre, Romford.

The premises licence is open to feedback until February 27, and representations should be made in writing to The Licensing Authority, Town Hall, Main Road, Romford.

Lumiere is set to open in March - aiming to be a mixed-use entertainment space with a "central London" feel.

Parent charity Romford Film Trust has recently announced a target timeline for when it hopes to open each of its facilities, including a lounge and live entertainment stage.
