Upminster has a wide selection of pubs past and present so we have taken a look at photos of some from down the years.
From the Crumpled Horn which opened as recently as 2000, to the Bell Inn which dates back to 1906, we have selected images of a range of establishments for readers to look at.
The Bell Inn in 1906
The Bell Inn replaced a premises which stood in the 17th century, possibly even earlier, according to Havering Libraries.
It was part of Sir James Esdaile's redevelopment of Upminster and Corbets Tey in the 19th century and at the time of this photo, it added, and the pub landlord was Matthew Bracey.
In autumn 1962, the Bell Inn closed and was demolished the following summer, Havering Libraries said.

The George Inn, Corbets Tey, circa 1890s
This glass plate photograph from the 1890s shows the George Inn during its final years as a pub, according to Havering Libraries.
It is now the grade II listed Old Cottage, which was formerly an inn dating back to the 17th century.
Jeremiah Sutton was the first identified landlord of the George Inn, Havering Libraries said, but around 1900 the license to the pub was surrendered.
The Bridge House est. 1900
The Bridge House pub was located on Upminster Bridge, according to pubshistory.com.
It has been renamed the Windmill and this photo is estimated to have been taken in the 1900s.
The Windmill remains open today as a Greene King pub.
The Optimist in Hacton Lane in 1956
The Optimist was built for Charrington and Company Limited and opened in 1956, when this photo was taken, according to Havering Libraries.
It remains open today as the Optimist Tavern and is owned by Ember Inns.
The Masons Arms in St Mary's Lane from the 1900s
The Masons Arms opened in the 1900s when this photograph was taken.
It was located at 311 St Mary's Lane, according to The Lost Pubs Project.
The premises were demolished in 2011 to make way for a housing development, the website added.

The Crumpled Horn opened in the millennium year and continues as a pub and restaurant.
