A post office has reopened with a change of management after closing for more than a year due to "unforeseen circumstances".

Gidea Park's post office in Main Road reopened last Tuesday (December 12) at 1pm following a change of personnel.

The branch had been closed in November 2022 due to "unforeseen circumstances," the Post Office team said.

Post Office network provision lead Mohammed Islam said: “We are delighted to have restored post office services to the Main Road area of Gidea Park as we know how important a post office is to a community.

"I know that the local community will join me in welcoming this good news and hope our customers will continue to use this service," he added.

The branch, which is in a Nisa Local store, is open 47 hours a week between  9am and 5.30pm from Monday to Friday and 9am to 1.30pm on Saturday.
