Four men have been jailed in connection with burglaries at commercial sites in Havering.

Met Police’s Flying Squad launched a probe after burglaries were reported between October and November 2022 in Gallows Corner, Bryant Avenue, Collier Row Lane, Dagnam Park Drive and Southend Arterial Road.

Forty-year-old Michael Smith, of Havering Road, Romford, was sentenced to seven years in prison for conspiracy to commit non-dwelling burglary, theft of motor vehicle, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, driving whilst disqualified and two offences of dangerous driving.

Romford Recorder: Dean Nuet Dean Nuet (Image: Met Police)Gregory Samuel, 46, of Faringdon Avenue, Harold Hill, was sentenced to 20 months imprisonment for non-dwelling burglary and for possession of a bladed article and Mark Bousfield, 47, of Squirrels Heath Lane, Gidea Park, was sentenced to 13 months in jail for non-dwelling burglary.
