Police have provided a condition update after a girl was found with injuries following a reported assault.

The girl, 17, was found in Gooshays Drive, Harold Hill, suffering injuries after police were called at around 9.40pm last night (December 12) to reports of an assault.

This evening (December 13), police issued an update after the 17-year-old was previously deemed to be in critical condition.

"Her condition has now been assessed as non life-threatening", police said.

The force added that officers have spoken with her and enquiries into the circumstances have taken place.

"No allegation of assault has been made at this time," police said. "[But] should this change, officers will investigate."
