A discount store is set to open in Romford tomorrow.

One Beyond, a discount retailer, will welcome customers from 10am on October 20 to its store in Rom Valley Retail Park, a spokesperson announced today.

The store was created by the founders of Poundworld, a now-defunct chain of value shops which closed in 2018.

One Beyond, founded in 2019, said it has spent a six-figure sum to open the Romford shop which will create 30 jobs.

Christopher Edwards, One Beyond founder and director, said: "We’re really pleased to be opening our first One Beyond store in Romford.

“We hope that our low prices will benefit the local community,” he added.
