A games centre including electric remote controlled cars, archery tag and a cafe has been proposed to replace vacant office space.

Applicant Target Sports World said it wishes to provide a facility in Harold Wood for people to drive remote-controlled cars around a track and partake in indoor activities, such as airsoft and archery tag.

The proposed recreation centre and cafe would be at Unit 4C Avenue Industrial Estate in Southend Arterial Road near Gallows Corner.

The applicant said he intends to strip out and renovate the existing structure to create more space, including two toilets and a small kitchen.

A small cafe selling hot drinks and snacks has also been proposed for the facility.

The application, P1294.23 was received by Havering Council on August 28 and validated more than a month later on September 25.

A decision date has been set to November 10 this year and the applicant said he plans to spend £50,000 upgrading the building.
