A family-owned chain offering eggless, vegetarian and vegan desserts is launching a new branch in Romford.

Scooperb, an “aspirational” brand owned by Ramnath and Deepali Prabhu, is expanding in east London with their ninth franchise in Collier Row Road opening on October 15.

Started in 2017 with their first branch in north London, the chain has a range of options on its menu - ice creams, milkshakes, waffles, crepes, mini pancakes and even baklavas, falooda and hot drinks.

All the ice creams, he said, are hand crafted and churned with very little air resulting in “purer, more robust flavours and creamiest textures”.

The idea for the chain came to Mr and Mrs Prabhu after they were encouraged by their friends and family to open an ice cream shop after seeing their passion for making ice creams at home.

They said: “We ensure all our ice creams are natural and use the best quality ingredients. This is what sets us apart from others.”

Regarding their launch in Romford, the couple added that they have been “working really hard to find the right location” in east London for over six months.

The site in Collier Row Road was occupied by a beauty parlour previously and was chosen as a strategic place to help them cater to local residents.

“We look forward to welcoming the east London community to Scooperb," the couple added.

After visiting the Scooperb outlet in north London for a number of years, she decided to take the plunge and start her own franchise.

She said: “I wanted to bring the same joy it brought me and my family to others.”

Scooperb in Romford will be open seven days a week. The opening hours will be between 12pm and 10pm for Sunday to Thursday and 12pm to 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays.

Until October 20, the shop is running a promotional policy giving free scoop of ice cream to first 50 customers and 10% off everything.
