Located in High Road, Romford, The Greyhound Harvester was praised for its fish and chips.

Jim, a reviewer, said: "Popped in for a few pints of Coors, decided to eat.

"Fish and chips was the best I’ve eaten in a long time." 

Yvonne, another reviewer, praised the food and service staff. 

"Very nice food, served very quickly by a lovely young lady," she said.

The Mawney Arms

One reviewer said this pub was excellent, the staff friendly and the food delicious.

"Great discounts and lunchtime fish and chips phenomenal," the reviewer said. 

The pub caters for vegetarians as well as providing traditional fish and chips.

The Brothers Fish Bar and Restaurant

Brothers Fish Bar in Station Road was praised for its "excellent" fish and chips on TripAdvisor.

Georgina, a reviewer, said it was the best chip shop in the area and she has been going there for years.

"The food is always fresh and piping hot, a good selection of different fish and sides, and reasonably priced," she said.

Another reviewer from Moscow said he visits London every couple years and would definitely go to this chippy again on his next visit.

Liberty Bell Beefeater

Liberty ranks as Romford's 11th best restaurant out of 194 according to TripAdvisor, commended for its atmosphere and service.

Joanie, a reviewer, said it had improved considerably since reopening after Covid and provided good, affordable food.

"The fish and chips was very nice," she said.
