This Mediterranean restaurant, located on Corbets Tey Road, comes in the top spot in Upminster.
A pleased customer said: "Lovely food and great service!!! Chicken shish was one of the best and rivals Turkey. Will defo be back."
The family-run restaurant serves Turkish Cypriot cuisine cooked on an open flame charcoal barbeque.
Sorrento (Italian, Mediterranean):
Second place is held by Italian eatery Sorrento.
A punter described the Station Road restaurant as "the best local restaurant by a mile".
They specifically praised two dishes: "Steak was so tender with gorgonzola sauce, delicious. Fresh oranges in grand marnier syrup, stunning desert."
The restaurant also provides options that are vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free.
The Jobber's Rest (Pub, Gastropub):
Located on St. Mary's Lane, this gastropub offers a varied menu, which includes cheese souffle and crab bonbons.
One customer had previously tried two pubs in the area after visiting a friend's nearby grave before stumbling upon The Robber's Rest.

They said: "I enjoyed the cheese souffle while my friends both enjoyed the fish cake with the most perfect poached egg on top!
"We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the general ambience of the pub and would not hesitate to go there again if and when we are in the area!"
Thatched House (Pub, Bar):
This St. Marys Lane Cranham pub serves "consistently good" pub grub, according to one customer, with seating both inside and al fresco.
The most recent review said: "From the outside it doesn't look very clean and tidy, totally different story inside. Clean, tasteful and well-maintained.
"The food was absolutely delicious and I would rate it very highly. We were served by Sonia who went out of her way to help us and was attentive without being intrusive.
"Overall a lovely evening."
Masala Grill (Asian, Indian):
This Indian restaurant, also located on St. Marys Lane, boasts a large menu, featuring masala, tandoori and shashlik dishes.
While one of the most recent reviews criticized the restaurant, the majority of reviews praised the high quality of the food.
A regular customer said: "Been coming here for over ten years and the management have been great, very attentive and food is always great...
"Highly recommend this place. Lamb chops, starter platters are great. The butter chicken the kids love."
