Children's half term is around the corner with activities to enjoy just as London basks in the sunshine.

Many people will have free time this bank holiday weekend and pupils across Havering will enjoy a week off school.

Here are a few ideas for ways to enjoy it:

Queen's Theatre

Why not take a trip to Queen's Theatre Hornchurch where shows are designed to cater to each age group?

Productions include Bossy, aimed at 5 to 9 year olds, about a confident, clever girl who wants to become the world's best leader.

A sing-a-long production of Disney's Encanto and a musical theatre dance workout are also in the schedule.

Sapphire Ice and Leisure

You could take a family trip to the Sapphire Ice and Leisure Centre in Romford.

The centre includes a gym, a group fitness studio, an ice rink, a swimming pool and two fully licensed cafes.

The centre's timetable includes sessions for children and adults and for people of all abilities.

Stubbers Adventure Centre

The Upminster Stubbers Adventure Centre provides over 35 activities across land, air, water and motor.

Adventure activities include 4X4 motor driving, archery, kayaking and laser combat games for all the family to get involved in.

Just Evolution Trampoline Park

Another option is the Jump Evolution Trampoline Park for a burst of exercise with trampolines, basketball and a foam pit.

If you're looking for some alone time, too, the park offers jumping fitness classes and Mini Jump sessions with kids characters.

Fairkytes Arts Centre

Fairkytes Arts Centre, Hornchurch, offers activities for adults and children.

Over half term, the centre is offering a programme of arts and crafts activities for those aged 5 and over.

You can register online to get involved.
