A Caribbean restaurant chain has opened its latest branch in Romford.

Turtle Bay welcomed customers to its newest site in The Brewery Shopping Centre on Friday (November 25).

It hosted a launch party the previous day to celebrate the opening, complete with a live band and DJs.

The restaurant is Turtle Bay's 46th across the country and the menu has been created by executive chef Collin Brown.

General manager of Turtle Bay Romford, Lee Beechey, said: “We cannot wait to immerse ourselves in the culture and community of Romford, bringing our Caribbean-mix of rum, food and music to town."

The chain said its Romford branch is creating more than 60 jobs.

A spokesperson said guests can expect "a celebrational feast of Caribbean-inspired soul food from bottomless brunch favourites to the signature jerk pit dishes".
