A pub is “looking forward to welcoming back old and new friends” following a four-week refurbishment.

The Swan, located in High Street, Brentwood, shut its doors as it underwent work including an update to its interiors and the construction of what it says is the town’s biggest garden area.

Regulars can now enjoy the comforts of a grand pergola, seating for 120 people, space heaters and televisions in the pub’s expanded outdoor space.

Inside, a new bar layout and a large function room, which can be booked out for private events, are among the changes.

For those looking for a bite to eat, an updated food and drink menu offers a range of dishes from sharing plates and platters to classic pub grub.

General manager Craig Marriner said: “We are all very excited to reveal the new and improved Swan to the public.

“The team has been working hard behind the scenes, and we can’t wait for family and friends to try out the brand-new garden space.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming back old and new friends!”
