Newly-promoted Hornchurch are not just in the Bostik Premier Division to make up the numbers insists manager Jimmy McFarlane.

We have now concluded our pre-season build-up, most of which was played in heatwave conditions, and we now entertain Leatherhead for our first game back in the Premier Division, after overstaying our welcome in Division 1 North.

Hornchurch had mixed results in their three-team tournament against Cheshunt and Enfield Town at Theobalds Lane on Saturday.
