A Brentwood based band have just released their fifth successful album after a decade of producing music.

Dave Mcpherson, 29, Brentwood, is the lead singer and guitarist of the heavy rock band InMe, which was formed back in 1996 when the four male members were at Brentwood County High School.

Along with his brother Greg Mcpherson, Simon Taylor and Gazz Marlow, Dave is passionate about creating lyrics that can be easily related to and understood by its listeners.

Dave said: “Our fifth album is out now and is called The Pride and we have done a few dvds in the past as well.”

“Music runs in my family and its just always something that I have wanted to do from a young age.”

The talented band started off by covering Nirvana tracks at school but have said over the years their music has progressed and is more edgy and diverse.

As well as being the lead singer and guitarist, Dave is an avid drummer.

The group travels around the country frequently for gigs and have done about 110 so far this year.

Dave added: “When we perform you become emotionally charged and I like that because I love deep music.”

“We have a lot of banter and humour which is important to hold a band together.”

Dave released his first solo album last year called ‘Harship Diaries’ and plans to bring another out at the end of this year.

However he is keeping the name of the new one under wraps for the time being.

“I do some solo gigs but I also do lots of things with the band.”

“It’s good to do a bit of both to mix-it up.”

Dave has a weekly Sunday slot in O’Neils, Brentwood, which will resume once the European Football Championships have finished.
