Sandwich cream? That sounds horrid
I know we have to have progress. I know change has to happen.
If we didn’t move forward we’d be living in a backwards time of no sat navs, phones attached to the wall and having to stand up to change the channel on the TV. The horror.
Some change seems too far. Salad Cream is changing its name.
I am still not used to living in a world without Opal Fruits and Marathons.
I know we still have marathons in terms of the race that Paula Radcliffe did and I can’t digest peanuts so if I had a Snickers it would make me do what Paula did on a marathon, so it’s almost the same.
Salad Cream will soon become Sandwich Cream. Eugh! That sounds horrid.
Sandwich Cream sounds like the liquid you’re left with in your lunchbox if you accidentally sat on it.
They say they’re changing the name because people are more likely to use it on a sandwich than on a salad.
I don’t think we need the extra help.
It’s the name of the product not a serving suggestion.
It’s been Salad Cream for 104 years and I would guess that for most of that people have been using it as a sandwich enhancement.
We don’t always match the name of a product to what we do with it.
I’ve had thousand island dressing before but didn’t eat it as part of a world tour.
Heinz is owned by an American company now so it feels like more of our history is being erased when they change our dressings. That sounds more medical than I’d hoped.
I think it’s a shame because eating Salad Cream was the closest thing to eating a salad a lot of us do these days.
