Rise Park Juniors celebrate their Havering Schools 6-a-side title

Romford pupils win Havering event

Rise Park School were crowned Havering’s six-a-side champions this week.

They won their first five group matches, before a 2-2 draw, then saw off Broadford (4-1) in the quarter-finals.

A 2-0 win over St Mary’s set up a final with Ardleigh Green, where one goal proved enough to clinch the title.

Rise Park will represent Havering in the London Youth Games at Crystal Palace on March 24 and teacher Anthony Sealey said: “We’e very lucky to have such a talented group of players, they are a credit to themselves and the school.

“I wouldn’t be surprised if one or two of our players went on to be big names in the future. Watch this space!”

Rise Park: Omari Forson (captain), Ellie Cunningham, Owen Knapman, Owen Rayment, Harry Blair, Reece Hardwick, Sam Townsend, Archie Kieran.
