Year nine group help out at sports day

A selection of Redden Court’s year nine GCSE students were praised for their help at Harold Court Primary’s sports day recently.

The students demonstrated excellent leadership and organisational skills throughout the day at a number of different events, where they had to demonstrate activities, organise younger students and keep accurate scores.

A spokesperson said: “The feedback from Harold Court School was extremely positive. Well done to all those involved.”

The students involved were Louise Banham-Scott, Josie East, Lucy Stubbs, Harvey Morement, Jack Tull, Jacob Roberts, Joseph Piercy, Camela Cengu, Emily George and Alanah Jefferies.

*A number of Redden Court Students represented Havering at the London Youth Games finals at Crystal Palace recently.

Katie Hawkes played in goal for the girls’ football team and kept five clean sheets on the day, thoroughly enjoying the experience.

Harvey Morement won a silver medal in the rowing competition, while Louise Banham-Scott, Josie East, Lucy and Holly Stubbs represented the netball team.

A spokesperson said: “This is the third time that Louise Banham-Scott and Josie East have represented Havering in the London Youth Games this year. Previously, they represented the borough in volleyball and basketball which is a fantastic achievement from year nine students.”
