Y9: Royal Liberty 2 Redden Court 8

Redden Court’s year nine boys produced a gr-eight display in front of goal to ease past last season’s Havering Cup semi-finalists.

Without Jack Wilkinson, Callum Newman and Isaac Gee due to injury, Redden Court did not risk James Lickfold either for this derby friendly.

But they still dominated the first half and led 3-1 at the break, before adding five more goals in the second half as Royal Liberty converted from the penalty spot.

Mitch Richardson netted three fantastic strikes for Redden Court, while Billy Coulthurst added a hat-trick of his own, including two set-pieces.

Luke Haydon and Kai Curran completed the rout and a spokesperson said: “This served as good preparation for approaching cup games and we can be optimistic that with players coming back we will only get stronger.”

Redden Court: Jack Bennett, Ryan Baines, AJ Jordan, Max Harley, Lewis Moore, Frankie Camden, Billy Coulthurst, Luke Haydon, Mitchell Richardson, Kai Curran, Ben Eliot, Tommy Byford, Ewan Sargood.
