Year seven squad win borough competition for first time

Redden Court’s year seven girls were crowned champions at Havering’s Sportshall athletics event at Bower Park.

The competition included a variety of running races and field events, with Redden Court showing great team spirit as they pipped regular winners Coopers Coborn by eight points.

It was the first time Redden Court had won the event and teacher Jenny Canty said: “The students gave 100 per cent and did exceptionally well in their respecitve events.

“The team spirit was fantastic and contributed to the success.”

The year eight squad finished in a respectable fourth place, being pipped to third by Emerson Park A, as Coopers teams finished first and second.

Redden Court Y7: Elize Bonning, Lucie Ballard, Katie Adams, Grace Greenway, Zaynab Soyege, Mia Peermamode, Valeria Ramos, Nicole Gascoigne.

Y8: Amy King, Freya Duffy, Amy Nash, Alice Dickson, Grace Roberts, Kristy Robinson, Molly Eagling.
