Netball squad impress against rivals

Redden Court’s year seven B team will join their year 10 squad at the netball finals day.

The Harold Wood pupils won four out of five group games, beating Frances Bardsley, St Edwards, Drapers Academy and Sanders, and lost only to Sacred Heart to reach the semi-finals.

And they came from 3-1 down to draw 3-3 with Hall Mead and force extra time, where Eloise Lucas netted twice to seal victory.

A spokesperson said: “The Redden Court students can be extremely proud of themselves and a special mention should go to Clarissa Martin who played excellent as centre.”

Redden Court: Emily Quantock, Claire Brown, Tabitha Seymour, Emily Piercy, Clarissa Martin, Sophie Hornsby, Amy Norton, Molly Smith, Eloise Lucas.

Redden Court’s year eight B team came up short against Marshalls Park A in their league match.

They competed well against strong opponents, but Marshalls Park’s shooters were very accurate and led them to a 20-12 win.

A spokesperson said: “Rosie Rummell and Amy King deserved special mention because of their movement and work rate. It was also great to have Kristy Robinson back in the squad.”

Redden Court: Josephine Siedlieczeck, Rosie Rummell (captain), Amy King, Molly Eagling, Lucy Moles, Lillie Neale, Jessica Saint, Kristy Robinson.
