Basketball squad lose London Youth Games clash

Redden Court’s under-16 boys bowed out of the running for the London Youth Games after defeat against Harris Academy in South Norwood.

The two teams were evenly matched from the start, but Redden Court looked to be edging ahead in the second half thanks to some great scoring and fast breaks.

The game turned, though, on a few calls from the umpires, which saw the influential Daniel Ogoro fouled out of the game.

Harris Academy went on a run to take control, but the Redden Court pupils battled extremely hard to the end.

A spokesman said: “It was a disappointing loss, but the boys should be extremely proud of their efforts.”
