Netball squads compete at Havering Rally

Redden Court’s year seven netball squad experienced mixed fortunes at the Havering Rally.

They beat Gaynes (3-2) and Marshalls Park (6-1), but lost to Sacred Heart (7-2) and Coopers Coborn (6-2) and drew with Emerson Park (1-1).

Teacher Jenny Canty said: “The girls tried hard and, at times played some good netball, but were inconsistent with their passing and movement.”

Redden Court: Abby Vile, Lucie Ballard, Zaynab Soyage, Valeria Ramos, Jamie Hartwell, Cerys Heard, Sarah Henderson, Katie Adams, Elize Bonning, Eunice Cando.

The year nine team worked well and produced some good netball at their Havering Rally, enjoying some fine wins to qualify for the semi-finals.

But they slipped to a 9-5 defeat against defending champions Chafford.

A spokesperson said: “A special mention for Grace Roberts, Victoria Long and Scarlett Jacks who helped run the table as Redden Court were organising the competition.”

Redden Court: Josie East, Louise Banham-Scott, Lois Wright, Lucy Stubbs, Holly Stubbs, Tia King, Ayopeju Olasebikan, Alanah Jefferies.
