Pupils come out on top against Harold Hill rivals

Mead Primary School were celebrating recently after winning the Harold Hill Rounders Trophy.

A group of 11 year six pupils combined to good effect in the cluster group event to win three games and draw the other.

Mead beat St Ursula’s (6.5-4.5), Broadford (5.5-1.5) and Drapers Brookside (5.5-4), while being held to a 5.5-5.5 draw by Pyrgo Primary.

Teacher Gary Pitty: “They played some amazing rounders and we are incredibly proud of their wonderful achievement.”
