Year seven rugby squad lift Havering silverware

Marshalls Park’s year seven rugby squad came out on top in the Havering Shield competition at Upminster today.

They won four and drew one of their five matches at Hall Lane, scoring 11 tries and conceding just one.

Emerson Park, St Edwards, Royal Liberty and Sanders also took part in the tournament and a spokesperson said: “There was really good team work, determination and cameraderie from the whole squad.”

Coopers Coborn, Campion, Albany, Hall Mead and Redden Court were competing in the Havering Trophy competition.

The year eight finals are being played on March 20, with the year nine, 10 and 11 competitions all at Upminster next week.
