Coopers junior boys were second at the South East Schools' Cross-Country Championships


Coopers Coborn’s junior boys equalled the school’s best-ever result at the South East Schools’ Cross-Country Championships as they finished second at Harrow.

Alex Ford led the way in third, ahead of Oliver Jones (ninth), Zach Bridges (12th) and Harry Lewis (13th).

Frank Lewis (16th), Sam Bradley (25th), Dan Edwards (26th), Callum Basinger (29th) and Matthew Hick (31st) also ran.

The intermediate boys were sixth, thanks to Harry Jones (eighth), Oliver Woods (30th), George Hill (36th), Jacob Smith (54th), Henry Lay (57th), Jake Long (61st), Dom Jarvis (65th) and Josh McGill (66th).

And the senior boys were led home by Tom Keevil in ninth, ahead of Sam Atkins (13th), Oliver Morter (47th) and Joe Hudnott (48th).

Lay lost both shoes during the race, while Smith ended up with one in his final outing alongside Jones, Woods and Hill. And Morter (below) made his final appearance after seven years.
