Clubs back to league this weekend after cold weather forced games last weekend to be postponed

Upminster return to action in London Three Essex on Saturday with what should be a hotly-contested clash with Maldon.

The Hall Lane club are currently seventh, but are only a place and a point behind their visitors this weekend.

The game will be Upminster’s first since suffering a 17-12 loss at Braintree on February 17 after last weekend’s matches were postponed because of the cold weather.

Victory on Saturday will see them climb above Maldon in the standings.

Divisional rivals Campion, meanwhile, are set to visit bottom-club Mavericks, knowing a defeat could see them slip into last place.

Ahead of the weekend’s meeting, only four points separate the two sides, meaning that if Mavericks collect five points and Campion record none, they will trade places.

That is a fate Campion will be looking to avoid as they go in search of a first away since the start of 2018. The old boys won 39-30 when the sides met at Cottons Park in November.
