London Division 1N

Old Haberdashers v Romford & Gidea Park

Park return to action with a trip to Haberdashers tomorrow (Saturday).

And head coach Mark Collins has another selection headache, as he looks for a third successive victory.

“We’ve got a lot of unavailability again, it’s never-ending,” said Collins.

“We’ve had no consistency. It’ll be 11 different teams (fielded so far) and we’re patching up where we can.”

Phil Stockton, Joe Howard and Paul Dowding all have work commitments, while Scott Turner is out injured.

But Ricky Turner is set to return and Jake Jones has been summoned from college.

Collins added: “Taking nine points of a possible 10 in the last two games was good. Haberdashers are a flamboyant side, who like to throw it around.

“They won the north west division last season, we won the north east, and they’re a have-a-go side, like us.

“It should be an interesting game, we’re looking forward to it.”

London Division 3NE

Beccles v Upminster

Having officially opened their new clubhouse last weekend, amid much ceremony, Upminster hit the road to Suffolk tomorrow.

The break from league competition came at a good time for the Hall Lane outfit, who had suffered four successive league and cup defeats.

That run of form had seen them fall down the table, having briefly topped the pile earlier this season.

And they will be keen to rediscover some of their better form in the next four matches leading up to the festive holidays.
