St Mary’s Lane club withdrew from RFU Senior Vase tie at West Norfolk last weekend

Old Cooperians are back in London Three Essex action on Saturday when they play host to current leaders Epping Upper Clapton.

No league fixtures were scheduled last weekend owing to the continuation of various national cup competitions.

Coops themselves had been due for a cup match, having been drawn away to West Norfolk in the second round of the RFU Senior Vase.

However, the St Mary’s Lane club withdrew from the competition prior to the game which saw West Norfolk progress.

It means Coops will have not played for two weeks prior to welcoming Epping this Saturday.

The St Mary’s Lane club will hope to avoid a second home defeat of the season when they host Epping, alongside whom they were relegated from London Two North East last term.

However, with Epping having lost just once in the league all season, it looks set to be a difficult task for Coops against the league leaders this Saturday.
