Romford & GP celebrate after win at Ipswich

Bonus-point win in Suffolk

Romford & Gidea Park made it five wins out of five with a 32-7 success at Ipswich to remain top of London Two North East.

After conceding an early try under the posts, Park levelled with a converted Phil Stockton effort and led 13-7 at the break after Louis Stevens and John Davies kicked penalties.

Park dominated in the second half, with Matt Phillips finishing off a stunning move and Joe Howard swapping passes with brother Ricky to touch down in the left corner.

Both scores were converted by Davies and Park claimed a bonus point in stoppage time when Tom Joslin forced his way over for their fourth try of the game.

Campion went down 32-12 at Newmarket, who chalked up a fifth straight win in London Three North East, while Old Cooperians were beaten 12-3 at Clacton in Essex One.
