Gale Street side beat Canvey Island last weekend
Andrew Moreland hopes Barking can build on a positive opening-day display when they visit Old Cooperians in London Three Essex on Saturday.
The Gale Street club began the term in fine form last weekend, beating Canvey Island 36-7 to take maximum points in their first game.
Barking will look to follow that up with another success this Saturday, and Moreland has pinpointed where the club can improve against Coops.
“Our decision making on the ball at times needs to be better: do we offload, or do we take the ball into contact and recycle? I’m confident we will get better at that as the season goes on,” Moreland told the club website.
“The amount of mistakes we are making are becoming less and less with each game which is a real positive.”
There will also be some reunions on Saturday, with current Barking players Craig Ratford and Samuel John coming up against their former club in Coops.
