Romford to hit Streets

London Div 2NE

Romford & GP v Old Streetonians

Park coach Mark Collins felt his side were “robbed” in their defeat against Rochford last weekend, which made it three league losses in a row.

Collins bemoaned some controversial decisions in the 18-16 reverse, but was pleased with how his side (5-0-3) kept going until the final whistle.

Streets (2-0-6) have struggled to stop the opposition scoring since promotion, conceding more points than any other team in the division and Park will hope to pile on the misery at Crow Lane.

London Div 3NE

Bancroft (1-0-7) v Upminster (3-0-5)

After edging to a 15-13 win over bottom club Wymondham last weekend, Upminster face another mid-season ‘relegation battle’ with Bancroft.

Scoring remains a bit of a problem for Paul McLeavy’s men, who have totalled just 99 points in eight games to date, the lowest in the division.

Bancroft, on the other hand, have managed to collect eight bonus points – the best in the division – despite only having one win to their name.

Wymondham (1-0-7) v Campion (3-0-5)

Which Campion will turn up in Wymondham? A lot will, again, depend on who is available.

Captain Luke Maguire has bemoaned a lack of numbers in recent weeks and it was a similar story in the 44-16 home defeat against Lowestoft last weekend.

If close to full strength, Campion could travel with confidence of beating the basement boys. But if not, who knows?

Essex Div 1

Old Cooperians v Old Brentwoods

Thumped by leaders East London last weekend, Cooperians (3-0-4) will look to bounce back against the other old boys.

Brentwoods (3-0-5) suffered something of a surprise home defeat against Pegasus, meanwhile, to drop from second to fourth place and will be keen to get back on track.
