Tips for tonight

Junior Mac (9.20pm) can go some way to re-establishing himself as the country’s best hurdler by outgunning Little Spark to win the Coral On TV Hurdle Trophy final at Romford tonight.

The Wimbledon dog, trained by Paul Donovan, won last year’s Irish Grand National but had a recent layoff and, until Monday’s heats, was struggling to last home.

He has a good record at Romford and will take some holding from the red box.

Trap one might also be the difference between success and failure for Bantiss Dermot (7.30pm), who gets the vote to reverse form with West Way Ranger on the draw.

Others who catch the eye are Risky Rosaleen (8.17pm) who is now beginning the show the talent we know she always had; fast-starting Longmint Gabby (9.04pm) and our old favourite Monleek Merc (10.24), who can land the hat-trick by leading home Dalcash Scolari over 575m.
