Friday night tips

Romford put up a decent show in last Thursday’s BAGS Track Championship leg at Sittingbourne and remain leading contenders for the Grand Finals at Monmore next month in what is greyhound racing’s FA Cup-type shootout.

And the Coral track stages another open-race bonanza this Friday with the most valuable race being the Coral On TV Puppy Trophy final at 9.20pm.

Guinness Kev could be the toast of backers after his fastest heat win on Monday, although trap six will require another decent start from the Seamus Cahill-trained youngster.

Cahill could also be on the mark with Rayvin Again (8.32pm) who could relish the extra distance with the upcoming Coral Essex Vase in mind.

Also over the six bends Westmead Maldini has been showing enough speed of late to edge leading local Balmi Blue at 10.24pm.

Other to catch the eye are speedster Fire Food Chili (10.08pm) after he blew the cobwebs away last week and Aero Ardiles (7.45pm), who didn’t quite land the spoils for us seven days ago but who threatens in a weaker contest.
