Latest tips for Friday night action

Romford are still in front in the BAGS Track Championship southern region after a good showing away at Hove on Wednesday.

And they travel to Sittingbourne with a 17-point lead after two legs in the round-robin event against the Kent track, Hove, Poole and Crayford.

Paul Young’s Millwards Trojan is the star Romford dog so far.

The running points total is Romford 113, Hove 96, Crayford 44, Poole, 42 and Sittingbourne 41, with the first two in each region making the Grand Final in the £150,000 event on December 23.

As for Friday’s fare, get to the Coral track early to see the country’s best sprinter in action in the shape of Lil Risky (7.30pm), who is in a different class.

Others to note include the up-in-trip Aero Ardiles (8.32pm) and tip-top timber-topper Baltylum Houdini (9.04pm) from a plot trap six in the hurdles.

As for the Coral On TV Stayers Trophy final, take a chance with fast-starting Coolbrook Paddy (9.20pm) to upset likely favourite Balmi Blue if pinching a lead.

Mention should also be made of the A.R.C.A Trophy at 10.24, which supports Little Havens Hospice with leading owner Geoff Bowmer raising money for the cause in The Pavilion restaurant tonight. His guests should get on the St Leger winner Aero Majestic!
