Everyone Active Raiders showed their class as they recorded a 21-1 victory against their second team at the Sapphire Ice & Leisure Centre.

The two sides decided to play in a pre-season friendly after NIHL North One outfit Telford Tigers pulled out of the arranged friendlies due to having to start their own league campaign.

The first-team got off to a flying start as Ollie Baldock opened the scoring 53 seconds into the match when he shot through Zach Grandy-Smith’s leg after a pass from Julian Smith.

Two minutes later Jake Sylvesrer made it 2-0 as he skated through the middle of the ice and picked up the top right corner.

It was soon 3-0 as Juraj Huska faked a slap shot then let fly and his shot bounced off the Grandy-Smith’s left pad and in after a great link-up between Baldock and captain Aaron Connolly.

Connolly then scored one of his own as Huska picked his line-mate out with a nice pass only 10:27 into the game.

Raiders got a powerplay with one minute and 53 seconds left and took full advantage of it when Connolly found Sylvester on the half-wall who picked out Dan Scott.

The defenceman then rifled a slap shot past Grandy-Smith from the point to make it 5-0 and it was soon 6-0 as Martin Jakubek found the net after a pass from John Connolly.

Scott then fired home a second with another slapshot from the point just over a minute into the second period.

Less than 30 seconds later Jj Pitchley got himself on the scoresheet as Turner picked him out after a great interchange with Jack Cooper.

Captain Connolly then made it 9-0 as he fired home his second of the night into the top corner unassisted.

The forward then bagged his hat-trick as he tapped home a Huska pass at the back post to stretch their lead to 10-0.

Mason Webster then joined in the goal fest as he shot into the empty net at the back post after Jakubek dished it across the net to him.

The new import Jakubek then got one as he took the puck round goalie Brad Windebank and backhanded it into the net at the 38 minute mark.

24 seconds into the third period Huska found the net with assists going to A.Conolly and Sean Barry.

The NIHL 2 team clawed one back as Rob Veares backhanded it past Ben Clements and it hit the crossbar and went in after a Kamil Kinkor picked him out in the slot from a Sam Roberts interception.

Defenceman Callum Wells then hit Veares after the play and went to the box but it made no odds as Brandon Ayliffe fed the puck across the net to Pitchley to score a shorthanded goal.

Pitchley then added another two quick goals, the first being unassisted, the second a tip from a Dan Scott shot from the point to make it 16-1.

It was soon 17-1 as Baldock added another for the Raiders after defenceman pairing Wells and Cooper played it up to the forward.

Huska then looped round the net and picked out the top corner after A.Connolly found him with a pass in the offensive zone.

Sylvester then added his second of the night as he slotted the puck into the net after a drop pass from Pitchley with six minutes left in the game.

Ayliffe then made it 20-1 as he stretched down the ice and placed it top corner after being picked out with a long pass from Liam Chong.

Sylvester then put the final nail in the coffin as he scored at the back post from a Huska pass with 48 seconds left to seal a 21-1 scoreline.
