Everyone Active Raiders forward Blahoslav Novak was delighted with the side’s efforts as they picked up a four point weekend, writes Jacob Ranson.

The Romford-based outfit sealed a 3-2 overtime win away to Peterborough Phantoms before picking up a comfortable 8-2 victory against Invicta Dynamos at Sapphire Ice & Leisure Centre.

The 25-year-old Slovakian-born centre man netted a hat-trick in their home match after picking up an assist the night before.

“It’s always nice to score a hat-trick,” Novak said.

“We had a very tough game in Peterborough, which was a big test for us, we were short benched and we were very happy that we came away with two points and I think that gave us confidence for today’s (Sunday) game.

“It was a good team performance, I got three goals, but everyone played well so that was really good and we’re really happy with four points.”

He is now hoping they can build on the weekend and take that into next weekend when they face Basingstoke Bison and Milton Keynes Thunder.

“Hopefully we can get the same next weekend and that’s what we’re aiming for every weekend.”

The former Telford Tigers man feels the side is really starting to come together and expects them to be a force this season.

“Slowly, it takes time but you can see that we’re coming together, the lines are gelling as we get to know each other.

“Filip Sedivy and I have good chemistry on and off the ice so I’m sure we’ll be a good side.”
