Marshall wants improvement

Romford Raiders player-coach Danny Marshall wants to cut out the silly mistakes to maintain a title push in ENL Division One.

Raiders beat Oxford 5-1 at the weekend, but the visitors hit the post three times after Marshall’s men had turned the puck over.

Cardiff visit Rom Valley Way on Saturday, before Raiders travel to defending league champions Invicta on Sunday and Marshall knows his side have to tighten up.

“There’s a few little things we need to work on, but they’re mainly individual mistakes,” said Marshall.

“We’re letting other teams get a chance and need to take them out of our game, but individual errors are hard to stop.

“If you get on the players backs, it doesn’t work. They know when they’ve messed up and no-one’s perfect.

“I try to give them confidence to play and hope they’re on top of their games.”
