League clash priority for Marshall

Romford Raiders coach Danny Marshall says his main focus this weekend is on Sunday’s ENL clash with Streatham.

Raiders visit the Isle of Wight for a cup challenge on Saturday, before hosting the Redskins at Rom Valley Way the following night.

And Marshall said: “I’ll try to play a few guys who don’t get as much ice time against the Isle of Wight.

“Sunday is the more important game for me, but if the Isle of Wight want to go all out, we will too. I’m not going there to get pumped. I’m looking to win both games.

“Streatham have not had a bad start, but I’m sure we can beat them. We’ve got more depth now. The only frustrating thing is I’ve yet to have my full team on the ice at the same time.”

Frankie Harvey missed last weekend’s games with injury, but was due to practice on Thursday night and could return to action on Sunday.

“We’ll see how he gets on in training. If you bring players back too early, you lose them later on,” said Marshall.
