The gold and blue outfit will be hosting their second match in their new rink, Sapphire Ice and Leisure Centre, in Romford (7.45pm) and will be hoping to cause an upset to keep their unbeaten record in their new home.

The club opened the rink up on Saturday with a 5-2 victory against strugglers Cardiff Fire and will be looking to break the Wildcats four game winning streak.

“Tonight’s game is going to be a tough one,” Cooper said.

“Swindon are a big strong team and work hard for 60 minutes.

“We will need to come out hard, fast and play as a team.”

It will be the first mid-week game in Romford for nearly six years as the old Romford club played the last midweek game back on February, 16, 2012, when they snatched a 1-0 victory against rivals Chelmsford Chieftains in the Essex Cup thanks to a goal from JJ McGrath.

21-year-old Cooper revealed it will be hard playing a mid-week match but believes if they get another crowd like Saturday’s sell-out it will help them through.

“A mid-week game is going to be tough as we will all have work that day so we will have to be 100 per cent ready as soon as we step onto the ice.

“I believe there’s is going to be a lot of fans there as well which will help us and hopefully we can get another win and get a home streak going.”

The Raiders will be hoping they have a fully fit squad after forward Alan Lack left the game early in their 4-3 defeat to London rivals Streatham IHC on Sunday.
