Leone looking forward to Invicta clash

Romford Raiders captain Anthony Leone is looking forward to this weekend’s ENL assignments.

Raiders host Cardiff on Saturday before visiting title rivals Invicta on Sunday.

And Leone is expecting a warm welcome from the Dynamos fans on his first return to the club since joining Romford.

He said: “Their fans weren’t too bad when we played them last, but then they won the game.

“It will be different at their place, definitely, but I’m really looking forward to it. The Cardiff game should be good too.”

Leone, Adam Smith and Grant Baxter all left Invicta for Romford in the summer, while David Oliver, Liam Doyle and Glen Jackson have also worn Dynamos jerseys in the past.

Leone added: “It looks like they’re struggling a little bit at the minute.

“They let one of their imports [Daniel Calitri] go this week and [Liam] Chong is away with GB Under-20s.

“We need two wins this weekend to get right back in the title race and everyone is hyped up for it. I think we’ll do well. I’ve got a good feeling!”
