Marshall acknowledges linemate’s efforts

Danny Marshall had praise for Romford Raiders teammate Frankie Harvey, following their English National League win over Invicta.

Harvey’s third-period hat-trick lifted Raiders to as 9-6 success at Rom Valley Way, to signal their title intentions.

And Marshall said: “Frankie was getting a bit frustrated, but he turned it round and had a good third period, getting those three goals.

“It was a very good win for us. We needed the points if we wanted to be in with a chance and we showed character.”

Raiders had trailed 4-2 at one point, but hit three unanswered goals in the middle period to take the lead, before Invicta squared matters again.

Harvey, the club’s Rookie of the Year last season, now has 40 points (18 goals, 22 assists) to his name this term and his haul is second only to player-coach Marshall’s 57 points (18+39).

And with Slovakian ace Juraj Huska averaging three points per game since joining the club in November, Romford’s top line is really starting to show its offensive muscle.
